Sweden is one of the few countries on earth that allows international students to work full-time all year round, both on and off-campus.

In terms of healthcare, Sweden boasts one of the best healthcare systems in the world. If you need to study for more than one year in Sweden, you are eligible for the same health insurance as Swedish citizens.

In terms of travel, the Swedish passport ranks higher than that of the USA & Canada. For proof, click here. Sweden is a Schengen country. This means a residence permit to Sweden allows you access to all 27 Schengen countries. For proof, click here.

Sweden is recommended for individuals who want to relocate with their families on a study visa. Spouses of applicants have the ability to work and support the family. These countries are also suitable for degree holders with low GPAs.

For Master’s Admissions:

1. International passport.
2. Degree certificate.
3. Academic transcript – Admission process can begin without transcript, but be ready to send your transcript directly from your institution when we ask you to.
4. High School certificate.
5. Passport photo (white background).

For Bachelor’s Admissions:

1. International passport.
2. High School certificate (WAEC OR NECO accepted).
3. Copy of Scratch card to check your High School Certificate online (If applicable).
4. Passport photo (white background).

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

1. International passport with nothing less than a year of validity left. If you are traveling as a family, every traveler must have their own passport.
2. Admission letter from your institution in Sweden.
3. Tuition fee payment receipt.
4. Residence permit fees: This is your visa application fee. Costs 150 Euros per Adult. 75 Euros per child. 
5. Home ties: (a) Landed properties in your name (b) registered business registration documents in your name (Tax clearance is needed as well if your business is more than a year old) (c) employment/leave letter to a job (d) other assets in your name.
6. Health Insurance: The insurance shall be valid for 1year. It costs up to 300 Euros per person per year. Some institutions may provide health coverage to the student only once you pay your tuition. If you are traveling as a family, you must have insurance for each family member accompanying you. Your insurance policy must have a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros. 
7. Proof of funds: This can be a bank statement and must range from 4months to the date you apply for your residence permit. The living expense requirement for you as an applicant (including accommodation) is 10,900 Euros per year. If you are traveling as a family, that would mean an additional 4,600 Euros for your spouse and 2,700 Euros per child for a year. OVERVIEW OF YOUR PROCESS WITH US:

1. We will apply online for your admission. We will also pay your admission fees.
2. All institutions in Sweden have the same date to apply for admission, and the same date to release their admission results are published. We always apply for September resumption. Admissions for September resumption opens in October the previous year and ends in January. Bachelor admissions are published at the beginning of April, Masters admissions are published at the end of March.
3. Once your admission is approved, you will need to pay your tuition deposit as mentioned in your admission letter. We will show you how to pay this directly from your home country.
4. Next step will be to apply for your residence permit to Sweden. We will assist you with this process.
5. Once this is done, we will book your biometrics. Each Swedish embassy has varying processes for this. In most cases, only the student’s biometrics will be booked first, and then that of the family members will be done later.
6. If you are approved: You will receive an email that the decision has been made. We will help you with documents to contact the embassy or consulate-general to receive the decision and possibly book an appointment to collect it.
7. Residence permit card: If you receive a residence permit for more than three months, you will receive a residence permit card. It may take up to 4 weeks from the date of your approval to when you receive your residence permit card.
8. If you are rejected: You will receive an email stating that a decision has been made. You must contact the embassy or consulate-general to get your decision, and possibly book an appointment for this. You may lodge an appeal against the decision within three weeks of the date when you received notification of the decision. Information on how to lodge an appeal can be found in your decision.
9. Sweden maintains a very strict policy for international students. If you do not arrive in Sweden on/before your resumption date, your admission will be cancelled by your institution which may render your residence permit invalid.
